The 24 Hour Plays company teams with the Exchange to produce the Jan. 21 benefit event at Joe's Pub. Proceeds from the evening will benefit the Exchange and the Orchard Project. "Sixteen stars. Four composers. Four directors. Two choreographers," boasts show materials. "Four brand new musicals will be written, cast, rehearsed and performed at Joe's Pub in a single day, featuring an all-new all-star line up of Broadway performers, great composers and writers, directors and to top it all off, choreographers and musical directors."

Tony winner Ted Sperling (The Light in the Piazza, Striking 12) will serve as creative director for the evening.

Scheduled to appear are Celia Keenan Bolger (...Spelling Bee), Kerry Butler (Xanadu), Victoria Clark (The Light in the Piazza), John Ellison Conlee (The Full Monty), Gavin Creel (Thoroughly Modern Millie), Raul Esparza (The Homecoming), Cheyenne Jackson (All Shook Up), Nellie McKay (The Threepenny Opera), Denis O'Hare (Take Me Out), Mo Rocca (Spelling Bee), Claudia Shear (Dirty Blonde), Tracie Thoms ("Rent") and Rita Wilson (Chicago). (All artists subject to availability.)

Jonathan Butterell (The Light in the Piazza), Chase Brock (Wonderful Town) and Warren Carlyle (Oklahoma!) join the creatives list that include David Yazbeck (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) and Moises Kaufman (The Laramie Project).
