The June 16 reading will also feature Danaher Dempsey (Candida), Birgit Huppuch and Sammy Tunis under the direction of Toby Ring Thelin. Show time is 7:30 PM.

Penned by Connor Ratliff, People Like You begins when two women devise a scheme to blackmail a married man with photographs of him having a chance encounter with a beautiful young woman. The blackmailers get more than they bargained for when the man obliges them, asking only for one "honest interaction" with the woman in the photograph.

Esper is a 2008 Clarence Derwent Award winner for Crazy Mary at Playwrights Horizons. His stage credits also include subUrbia, The Four of Us, Manic Flight Reaction, As You Like It and Big Bill.

A $5 contribution is suggested. "New City, New Blood" also includes a light reception with a meet-and-greet with author Ratliff.
