A famous "mother" and famous father will pair together when Estelle Harris (Mrs. Constanza, George's mom on "Seinfeld") and comedian Sammy Shore (Pauly's father, and holder of the recent title role in King Levine) star in a reading of Ron Friedman's A Place in the Land, Oct. 17 at the West Coast Jewish Theatre. When the two old friends of A Place in the Land find the property they purchased for a Jewish cemetery threatened by their township, they will do anything to get a dead body in the ground before the land can be taken away.

Rounding out the cast are Bernie West, Barbara Keegan, Robin Sacks, John Reilly, Sabind Brend, E. J. Gage and Howard Teichman.

Tickets are $15 and available by calling (310) 445-1280. A reception with the cast follows the event. The Marcia Israel Chapel Auditorium is located on the Audrey & Sydney Irmas Campus at 11661 W. Olympic Blvd.

* The next two readings, Nov. 14 and Dec. 12, will be Ernest Joselovitz's Hold On to Your Heart and Fugumetunachai (Blowfish: Gift of Life), respectively. Howard Teichman will direct Heart, a romantic comedy about a couple who meets in the 1930's Catskills with More helming Fugumetunachai, a true life tale of a Japanese colonel and diplomat who risked their lives to rescue the Jews of Kobe from the Nazi.

Casts have not been announced for either production.
