Leigh Silverman (Well, In the Wake) directs the 7:30 PM reading for Red Bull Theater. Karen Hartman authored the adaptation of this version of the Euripides classic, described as "a brutally compelling portrait of women during war, in an ecstatic contemporary adaptation."
In addition to Parsons (Good People, August: Osage County) and Rubin-Vega (Rent, Anna in the Tropics), the cast includes Craig Baldwin, Lucy DeVito, Autumn Dornfeld, Mia Katigback, Sue Jean Kim, Annie McNamara, Keith Randolph Smith and Rita Wolf.
The presentation features music by Aaron Hartman, Elaina Morgan and Alicia Jo Rabins.
