News Estelle Parsons, Celia Keenan-Bolger and More Will Be Part of Planet Connections Gala One-Acts for a Cause Oscar winner Estelle Parsons and two-time Tony nominee Celia Keenan-Bolger will be featured in the Planet Connections Theatre Festivity Gala One-Acts for a Cause June 16 at 7:30 PM at the Alice Griffin Jewelbox Theatre in the Pershing Square Signature Center.

Parsons (Nice Work If You Can Get It) and Keenan-Bolger (Peter and the Starcatcher, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee) will perform in Neil LaBute’s one-act Over the River and Through the Woods, directed by Glory Kadigan (founder and producing artistic director of Planet Connections).

Jenni Barber (The Nance, The Performers, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee) and Krystina Alabado (American Idiot, national tour of Spring Awakening) will star in Winter Miller’s one-act This Is How We Do It, directed by Gaye Taylor Upchurch. Ivette Dumeng and Dustin Kerns will star in John Patrick Shanley’s one-act Tennessee, directed by Lori Kee.

The evening will raise funds for the non-profit Safe Horizon, the leading victim services agency in the United States.

The creative team includes Jenna R. Lazar (stage manager), Neil Patel (set design), Izzy Fields (costume design), Christopher Weston (lighting design) and Jacob Subotnick (sound design).

The Planet Connections Theatre Festivity is an eco-friendly and socially-conscious theatre, music and film festival and will run from May 29–June 23 at the Robert Moss Theatre and the Gene Frankel Theatre. Tickets and more information can be found by visiting PlanetConnections.org.
