Actor Morton will play the famous Andy Warhol contemporary for the film adaptation based on Holly Woodlawn's autobiography "A Low Life in High Heels," according to the New York Blade. The book, once optioned by songstress Madonna, is a curt memoir of the Puerto Rico-born Harold Ajzenberg who grew up in Miami and headed to New York where he became — through hormone treatments, makeup and more — a Warhol superstar. No director is attached to the project which will also reportedly star Alexis Arquette as Andy Warhol.
Morton also earned an Olivier Award nomination when he originated the Taboo role in London.
