National Playwrights Conference artistic director Wendy C. Goldberg will direct the 10 AM reading on Oct. 6 that will feature Reed Birney, Jeremy Bobb, Jordan Gelber, John Jellison and Will Rogers.
Exorcism, according to the O'Neill, "details ongoing inner toils with self, with family, and with addiction – all prominent themes for the more famous work. O'Neill believed he'd destroyed all known copies of the work. 90 years later, a copy of the manuscript was unearthed."
The celebration begins on Friday at 8 PM with a film screening of "Long Day's Journey Into Night," starring Kevin Spacey and Jason Robards, at the Monte Cristo Cottage.
The reading and screening are free and open to the public.
