Classical Music Eugene Symphony Announces 2005-06 Season The Eugene (Oregon) Symphony's 2005-06 season will include visits from violinist Itzhak Perlman, soprano Amy Burton, and pianist Ignat Solzhenitsyn.
Perlman will perform Beethoven's Violin Concerto at the orchestra's 40th-anniversary concert on October 17. Solzhenitsyn will conduct the orchestra and perform Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 19 in November. Burton is one of the soloists for a performance of Brahms' Ein Deutsches Requiem.

Other highlights include a performance by the yet-to-be-determined winner of the Van Cliburn piano competition and a season-closing evening of four works by Michael Daugherty, the ESO's composer in residence.
