Directed by Carolyn Cantor, the play examines "the balancing act of promise and compromise." An official opening date is scheduled for mid-October.
"Allison and Liza," according to production notes, "are navigating the channels of motherhood in [the play] . . . Both women test the vision of whom they think they are, whom they wish to be and ultimately whom they become as individuals, as mothers, as professionals and as members of their families."
The Cherry Lane Theatre is located in Manhattan at 38 Commerce Street.
