Holder, a two-time Tony Award winner for his direction and costume designs for The Wiz, will be on hand for the free 2 PM discussion/performance to speak about his work on the 1975 musical, an updated version of the L. Frank Baum classic "The Wizard of Oz."
Chapman Roberts — who has provided musical arrangements for Broadway's Bubbling Brown Sugar, Blues in the Night, Five Guys Named Moe and Eubie! — directs the selection of songs that will feature Jelly's Last Jam Tony nominee Ted Levy, Jacob Peacock, the Trinity Choristers, and musicians Ray Naccari, William McDaniel and Chulo Gatewood. Roberts will also perform.
The afternoon of song promises such tunes as "Somewhere Over the Rainbow," "If You Believe," "Everybody Rejoice" and more.
The event, running 2-3:30 PM, is free and open to the public. St. Paul's Chapel is located at Broadway and Fulton Streets in Manhattan.
