Part of the Ethyl Eichelberger Solo Show Project at the Dorothy Strelsin Theatre/Abingdon Theatre Arts Complex, the production stars Jeremy Lawrence as the late award-winning playwright. Show times are June 16-19 at 8 PM. Everyone Expects features the words and works of Williams arranged by star Lawrence. Lawrence described his play as such: "Tennessee talking and entertaining about the years when the 'Streetcar named success' stopped running, but the writing continued. Drawing on various sources, through anecdote, memoir, poetry, and the plays themselves, Tennessee muses about the turn away from Broadway, his search for new styles of writing, the battle with the critics, homosexuality and the gay life style, his breakdown and of course his will to survive."

Everyone Expects Me to Write Another Streetcar made its world premiere in 2007 at the Abingdon Theatre and has subsequently played the 2007 and 2008 Tennessee Williams/New Orleans Literary Festivals; NYC's Cornelia Street Cafe; the 2007 O'Neill Cabaret Conference; the 2007 Provincetown Tennessee Williams Theatre Festival; and the Emelin Theatre.

Jeremy Lawrence played The Writer in Five By Tenn at the Kennedy Center and at the Manhattan Theatre Club. His screen credits include "Critters," "Happy Days," "Night Court," "The Drew Carey Show" and "Stella." Lawrence won a Backstage Bistro Award for his cabaret show "Lavender Songs."

The Dorothy Strelsin Theatre/Abingdon Theatre Arts Complex is located in Manhattan at 312 West 36th Street. Tickets, priced $20, are available by calling (212) 330-7043; the box office opens one hour prior to curtain on days of performances.
