News Everything You Wanted to Know About Male Sexuality Answered in New Comedy, Sex*But, Starting Oct. 10 Off-Bway The bestselling 1969 informational book, "Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex * But Were Afraid to Ask," has inspired a new gay-themed theatrical piece, Sex*But, getting an open-ended Sunday-nights run at the Belt Theater Off-Broadway.

The show focuses on the bestseller's "Chapter 8: Male Homosexuality." Performances begin Oct. 10 with a cast that includes Matthew Wilkas (The Last Sunday in June), Jack Ferver (Jimmy Tickles of TV's "Strangers With Candy"), Andersen Gabrych, Jenn Harris, Jonathan Lisecki and Jonny McGovern.

Erik Sniedze (The Dilemma of Drugs, The Plank Project) directs Sex*But, which "takes you through a series of questions and answers that reveal the inner workings of the mysterious and previously hidden world of homosexuality."

The show was workshopped last season at both Fez and The Marquee in Manhattan.

According to production notes, questions raised include: "What do homosexuals really do with each other?," "Are all homosexual contacts as impersonal as that?," "An Artificial Vagina?," and "Aren't homosexuals afraid of being arrested?"

The piece also features special "friend of the director's commentary," an underwear fashion show and an "unforgettable dance break." Sex*But will be presented Sundays beginning Oct. 10 at 7 PM for an open-ended run. There will be no performance on Halloween, Oct. 31.

Tickets are $15. The Belt Theater is located at 336 W. 37th Street (between Eighth and Ninth Avenues). For reservations and information call (212) 352-3101.
