Bandstand stars Laura Osnes, Corey Cott, and the Donny Nova Band took the stage at SubCulture August 17 for an exclusive pop-up event, presented by Playbill. Take a look above as Osnes performs the showstopper “Love Will Come and Find Me Again” at the downtown venue.
Osnes, who takes on the role of Julia Trojan in the new swing musical, is accompanied by her co-star Cott (who plays Donny Novitski) on piano, Brandon J. Ellis on bass, Joey Pero on trumpet, James Nathan Hopkin on saxophone, Geoff Packard on trombone, and Joe Carroll on percussion.
In addition to Julia’s swing ballad, the group performed renditions of “Ain’t We Proud” and “First Step’s First.” Watch a full stream of the event and read the recap here.
Bandstand will play its final performance at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre September 17. To purchase tickets, click here. For discount tickets on select performances, click here.
