News Fantasticks Star Oliver Will Be Remembered April 2 A memorial service for the late actor Robert R. Oliver will be held April 2 at 5 PM at the Snapple Theater Center in Manhattan.

Oliver, who played Mortimer in the recent Off-Broadway revival of the musical The Fantasticks, died Feb. 4 of a heart attack. Mr. Oliver's family, friends and colleagues will assemble April 2 to celebrate his life. Those who would like to be part of the memorial service should call (212) 921-7862.

Mr. Oliver was no stranger to shows with long runs. He acted in the original The Fantasticks, which ran for decades at the Sullivan Street Playhouse, and also appeared in the Off-Broadway hit Tony 'n' Tina's Wedding. Other theatre credits included Girl Crazy, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum and My Fair Lady.

The Snapple Theater is located at 210 West 50th Street. The Jerry Orbach Theater is located on the 3rd floor.
