News Farnsworth Steps Into Principal Curtains Role June 28 Matt Farnsworth, who usually plays Harv Fremont in the new Broadway musical Curtains, will step into the role of Aaron Fox for several performances.

The actor told Playbill.com he will play the role of songwriter Fox — which was created by Jason Danieley — June 28-July 1.

Matt Farnsworth has been seen on Broadway in The Who's Tommy, Cats and Thoroughly Modern Millie and Off-Broadway in But the Giraffe/Brundibar and The Audience. He also appeared in the Canadian production of Sunset Boulevard, and his TV credits include "All My Children" and "The Conan O'Brien Show."

Curtains features a book by Rupert Holmes, music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb with additional lyrics by John Kander and Rupert Holmes, all based on Peter Stone's original concept. The murder mystery musical comedy opened March 22 at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre and also features David Hyde Pierce, Debra Monk, Jill Paice, Noah Racey, Megan Sikora, Edward Hibbert and Karen Ziemba.

Curtains received eight 2007 Tony Award nominations, winning one for actor David Hyde Pierce.
