The free outdoor concert in Shubert Alley will feature performances from over 20 Broadway shows.

Beetlejuice star Alex Brightman host The Broadway League’s annual Stars in the Alley concert May 10 at 1 PM in Shubert Alley, west of Seventh Avenue between 44th and 45th Streets.

The free outdoor concert celebrates the 2018–2019 Broadway season leading up to the 2019 Tony Awards. The event consists of performances from this season as well as numbers from current long-running shows.

While Brightman hosts the festivities onstage in Shubert Alley, Michael James Scott, currently starring as Genie in Aladdin, serves as backstage host. He will be on hand to cover the event live on Instagram, bringing fans a unique perspective on all that’s happening backstage.

The celebration will include 2019 Tony Award nominees Caitlin Kinnunen (The Prom) and Sarah Stiles (Tootsie) as well as performances from 2019 Tony Award-nominated musicals Ain’t Too Proud—The Life and Times of the Temptations; Beetlejuice; Hadestown; Kiss Me, Kate; Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Oklahoma!; The Prom; and Tootsie.

Also scheduled to participate are Stephanie Torns (Waitress), Jenn Colella (Come from Away), Ben Crawford (The Phantom of the Opera), Andrew Barth Feldman (Dear Evan Hansen), Jeremy Jordan (Waitress), Isabelle McCalla (The Prom), Orfeh (Pretty Woman: The Musical), Christiani Pitts (King Kong), and George Salazar (Be More Chill).

Also taking part in the event are Josh A. Dawson, Mary Antonini, Mallory Bechtel, Fred Berman, Jewelle Blackman Petrina Bromley, Kerry Butler, Gabi Campo, Gerard Canonico, Katlyn Carlson, Geno Carr, Jerusha Cavazos, James Davis, Micaela Diamond, Alex Finke, Shelby Finnie, Bradley Gibson, Yvette Gonzalez-Nacer, De’Lon Grant, Laurel Harris, Joel Hatch, Zach Hess, Fernell Hohan, Joomin Hwang, Aisha Jackson, Ben Jeffery, Becca Lee, Tony LePage, Tiffany Mann, Lauren Marcus, Candice Marie Woods, Rob McClure, Jay McKenzie, Ainsley Melham, Anthony Norman, Drew Redington, Caesar Samayoa, Jack Sippel, Britton Smith, Q. Other participating musicals include Aladdin, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, Be More Chill, The Cher Show, Chicago, Come From Away, Dear Evan Hansen, Frozen, King Kong, The Lion King, Mean Girls, The Phantom of the Opera, Pretty Woman, Waitress, and Wicked, with additional appearances from the casts of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Ink, and What the Constitution Means to Me.

“Broadway is celebrating another remarkable year featuring the most talented performers in the city. We’re inviting fans from all over to come and enjoy this free concert in Shubert Alley and sample the best of live theatrical entertainment!” said Charlotte St. Martin, president of the Broadway League, in an earlier statement. “There will be something for everyone including performances from long running productions, new shows, and appearances from Broadway veterans and newcomers. It’s the perfect way to spend a Friday afternoon.”
