Due to strong interest and steady sales, singer-pianist Michael Feinstein has extended his November run at his namesake club, Feinstein's at the Regency, by nine days. Michael Feinstein will now run Oct. 16 - Nov. 19
Described as Manhattan's newest intimate nightclub of choice, Feinstein's will offer a nightly dinner show at 8:30 PM from Tue. - Thur., and there will be two shows Fri.- Sat., one at 8:30 PM and another at 10:30 PM.
Asked about how business was doing at the new club, a Regency spokesperson said that Feinstein's sales were "doing very well."
The evening incarnation of the Regency's popular 540 Park Restaurant, located at the corner of Park Avenue and 61 Street, Feinstein's at the Regency is currently presenting it's first act, singer Rosemary Clooney, through Oct. 16. Ms. Clooney has added a single dinner show for Nov. 20 at 8:30 PM.
The new club has 150 seats. While the room is essentially unchanged from what it was, additional lighting and a new sound system have been installed to facilitate music performances. Tickets are available on Ticketmaster's Broadway Performing Arts Line at (212) 307 4100. Prices are $60 per person, with a $50 dinner show minimum and a $25 supper show minimum.
