News   Feydeau's Flea Hops Away from San Jose Jan. 6 A Flea in Her Ear, Georges Feydeau's classic turn-of-the-century farce, ends its holiday run at San Jose Repertory Theatre Jan. 6. The production, directed by Red Ladder Theatre Company founder John McCluggage, reunites three actors from the Rep's recent hit revival of Cyrano de Bergerac, Dan Hiatt, Elaina Erika Davis and John Hansen.

A Flea in Her Ear, Georges Feydeau's classic turn-of-the-century farce, ends its holiday run at San Jose Repertory Theatre Jan. 6. The production, directed by Red Ladder Theatre Company founder John McCluggage, reunites three actors from the Rep's recent hit revival of Cyrano de Bergerac, Dan Hiatt, Elaina Erika Davis and John Hansen. Hiatt stars as Victor Emmanuel Chandebise, the husband put to the test with an anonymous love letter by his suspicious wife Raymonde, played by Davis. When the innocent Chandebise sends his lothario friend Romain Tournel (Hansen) to the Pink Pussy Cat Hotel in his stead, mistaken identities and chance meetings betweens husbands and wives and wives and lovers dissolves into comic chaos. One of the greatest writers of farce, Feydeau's works include Le Dindon, La Dame de Chez Maxim and On Purge Bebe.
