Haley's Neighborhood 3: Requisition of Doom examines a neighborhood's addiction to a new online game that allows teenagers to battle zombies in their own streets. The show premiered at the Humana Festival where it garnered critical acclaim. Press notes warn that the staging "includes violent situations." Haley's haunting sci-fi thriller The Nether also played Off-Broadway recently at the MCC Theater.
Press notes describe the show thus: "In a quiet cul-de-sac where the Neighborhood Association regulates everything from lawn height to garden gnomes, no one can control the growing addiction to a new online game. Using a GPS map, the game allows teenagers to battle zombies in their own neighborhood. But as the line between the game and reality blurs, everyone must ask themselves: which team are you on?"
The cast of Neighborhood 3: Requisition of Doom includes Justin Ahdoot, Sydney Blaxill, Alexandra Curran, Eric Folks, Adam Alexander Hamilton, Alex Haynes, Adelind Horan, Lindsley Howard, Kerry Ipema, Olivia Jampol, Connor Johnston, Hank Lin, Madeline Mahoney, Cristina Pitter and Brendan Sokler.
The show features scenic design by Simon Harding, lighting design by Brian Aldous, costume design by Jessica Pabst assisted by Grace Interlichia, sound design by Janie Bullard assisted by John McKenna, fight choreography by J. David Brimmer and assistant direction by David Monteagudo. Zach Golden serves as assistant to the director. Abbey Bay serves as production stage manager assited by Kaila Hill.
Neighborhood 3: Requisition of Doom runs through Dec. 20.
