A film based on Michael John LaChiusa's 1993 musical Hello Again has started shooting in New York, according to the Daily Mail.

Rumer Willis, who just completed a run as Roxie Hart in the Broadway production of Chicago, was spotted being filmed for the project at Bow Bridge in Central Park.

Audra McDonald was listed as playing as Sally in the the Internet Movie Database, but could not confirm that casting. The six-time Tony winner is headed back to Broadway this spring in Shuffle Along.... LaChiusa had no comment on the project.

Tom Gustafson is directing a screenplay by Cory Krueckeberg. An earlier casting notice stated the film has the "goal of creating thoughtful, tasteful, beautiful, boundary-pushing sexually realistic situations."

No release date has been announced.

Hello Again has words and music by LaChiusa, and is suggested by Arthur Schnitzler's 1900 Vienna-set play La Ronde, which shows the connections made between ten related couples. Lincoln Center Theater produced the musical Off-Broadway in 1993-94; a cast album preserves the score.

The first major New York City revival of the musical that follows the sexual encounters of various lovers opened in March 2011 at Transport Group.

A five-time Tony Award nominee, LaChiusa has written the Broadway musicals The Wild Party, Marie Christine and Chronicle of a Death Foretold. His Off-Broadway credits include Hello Again, First Lady Suite, Little Fish, See What I Wanna See, The Petrified Prince, Bernarda Alba, Giant, Queen of the Mist and the current First Daughter Suite.
