Lincoln Center's annual "Dance on Camera" festival will present a screening of two films from "Dancing Sondheim," a free app compiling seven short dance movies by Richard Daniels using the music of Stephen Sondheim.

The screening, which will be held Jan. 31 at 6 PM, is produced by the Film Society of Lincoln Center and Dance Films Association. It will include the films "Children and Art" and "Everyday a Little Death."

"Children and Art," from Sunday In The Park With George, was choreographed by Richard Daniels. It is performed by Carmen de Lavallade to a recording of the song by Maria Friedman with Sondheim on piano. The movie, which first appeared on Daniels' Volume 1 of "Dances for an iPhone," has been re-edited.

"Everyday a Little Death" will be performed and spoken by dancer Deborah Jowitt. The song, which is from Sondheim's musical A Little Night Music, will be performed without musical accompaniment. Choreography is by Richard Daniels.

Appearing in the remaining five "Dancing Sondheim" movies are Janis Brenner, Robert La Fosse, Brian McGinnis, Rebecca Rigert, Risa Steinberg, Jodie Toogood, Melissa Toogood and Megan Williams.

"Dancing Sondheim" is available as a free app in versions for iPhone, iPad, iTunes and Android. It marks the fourth installment from "Dances For An iPhone," which uses technology as a medium to transmit modern dance to the general public. The Dance on Camera Festival runs Jan. 30-Feb. 3.
