News Final "Glee" Premiere Hits Lowest Debut Rating to Date The final season of the Fox hit musical series "Glee," which stars Spring Awakening actress Lea Michele as young starlet Rachel Berry, hit its lowest rated season debut ever, according to Deadline.com.

The series, which moved from Thursday to Friday nights for its final season, was down 65 percent among adults 18-49 from its Season Five premiere, which aired Sept. 26, 2013, at 9 PM.

However, compared to the Tuesday night Season Five finale (May 13, 2014), "Glee" was up 17 percent in the key demo and 21 percent in total viewers to 2.3 million.

Deadline reports that in the context of the time slot, "Glee" was up 39 percent from the last episode of the now-canceled "Utopia" and gave the network its best result in the demo since late September.
