The Public Theater kicked off its second, free Shakespeare in the Park production of the summer July 11: the Bard’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, directed by Lear deBessonet and choreographed by Chase Brock. Among the cast are Annaleigh Ashford as Helena, Phylicia Rashad as Titania, Kristine Nielsen as Puck, Danny Burstein as Nick Bottom, Kyle Beltran as Lysander, and Bhavesh Patel as Theseus.

Central Park’s Delacorte Theater is transformed into an enchanted forest for the romantic comedy, which sees young lovers lost in the woods and mistakenly lusting after the wrong people. The limited engagement is scheduled through August 13 with an official opening night set for July 31.
