The Hartford Stage in Connecticut kicks off its season with Bess Wohl’s play Make Believe, a 1980s-set tale of four young siblings whose childhood is upended by the mysterious lives of the adults around them. Jackson Gay directs a cast made up of Megan Byrne, Chris Ghaffari, Brad Heberlee, Roman Malenda, Alexa Skye Swinton, RJ Vercellone, Molly Ward, and Sloane Wolfe.

The production, set to run September 6–30, features scenic design by Antje Ellermann, costume design by Jonghyun Georgia Lee, lighting design by Paul Whitaker, sound design by Broken Chord Collective, dramaturg Elizabeth Williamson, casting by Laura Stanczyk Casting, production stage manager Rob Chikar, assistant stage manager Kelly Hardy, production assistant Nicki Berger, and supporting production assistant Rachel Canowitz.
