Performances began May 15 for the world premiere of Dan Cody’s Yacht, a new play by Anthony Giardina, directed by Tony Award winner Doug Hughes. Loosely inspired by a passage from The Great Gatsby, the play examines the cost of educational opportunity in America today.

Dan Cody’s Yacht is produced by Manhattan Theatre Club and plays New York City Center – Stage I, where it will officially open June 6.

Leading the cast is Kristen Bush (Taking Care of Baby, The City of Conversation), who plays a single schoolteacher living in a small Boston suburb who receives a financial proposal that could change her daughter’s life.
