The lineup includes Sarah Flood in Salem Mass, a new play about the events leading up to the Salem witch trials, and the world premiere of Family Furniture, a new work by A.R. Gurney.

The Flea's smaller downstairs space will be home to Jonathan Caren's play The Recommendation, about a friendship troubled by issues of race, class and wealth, and Mary-Kate Olsen is in Love, by Mallery Avidon (queerSpawn), which follows an unhappily married young woman who conjures up the actors-turned-celebrities Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen as a means of escape.

The season at a glance follows.

Sarah Flood in Salem Mass
By Adriano Shaplin
Directed by Rebecca Wright
Sept. 24–Oct. 26

"Blood feuds, black magic, and the birth of capitalism merge in this dizzying portrait of a village on the brink...yet is history doomed to repeat itself? Or can the young women of Salem alter their destiny?"

The Recommendation
By Jonathan Caren
Directed by Kel Haney
Aug. 23–Sept. 22

"Jonathan Caren kicks off the downstairs season with the New York premiere of The Recommendation — a play about class, race, power and what happens to a friendship when the tables get turned." Mary-Kate Olsen is in Love
By Mallery Avidon
Directed by Kristen Seemel
Nov. 1–Dec. 8

"Grace is 28-going-on-dead and she's done everything a self-actualizing woman is supposed to do. All the same, her marriage to her high-school sweetheart is a lonely existence, lodged inside a maze of empty pizza boxes, TV commercials and the incessant blips of 'Call of Duty.' That is, until the Olsen twins arrive on the scene and transform everything."

Family Furniture
By A.R. Gurney
Directed by Thomas Kail
Nov. 12–Dec. 22

"Family Furniture is Gurney at his quintessential best. As in Mrs. Farnsworth and Black Tie, Gurney reveals the world he knows best...heartbreaking coming-of-age-story."
