News Flight, New Howard Hughes Musical, Gets NYC Readings Feb. 24-25 Flight, a musical about millionaire industrialist, pilot and movie producer Howard Hughes, gets a private industry reading in Manhattan in the hope of luring New York producer interest, Feb. 24-25.

Flight is penned by Steve Seyfried (book), James Scully (music) and Elise & Steve Seyfried (lyrics). The reading is presented by Storm Theatre and features Tom Galantich (City of Angels, Mademoiselle Colombe) as Howard Hughes, with Joan Barber (Follies), Hal Blakenship, Jonathan Brody (Titanic), Colleen Crawford, Bryan Scott Johnson (Max and Maxine), Jeanne Lehman (The Sound of Music), Katherine Leonard (Hairspray), Kim Linday, Jim Madden, Dominic Nolfi, Michele Ragusa (Ragtime, Eric Thorne and Tom Treadwell. Musical direction is by Scott Cady. Peter Dobbins directs. The show was previously presented as part of the 2000 Appalachian Playwrights Conference.

Readings will be presented at the Storm Theatre in Manhattan 7 PM Feb. 24 and 4 PM Feb. 25.
