News   Flores, Tam, Albano, Davis and More to Be Part of China Earthquake Relief Benefit Concert A host of singers and musicians will assemble June 23 at the Evergreen Restaurant in Murray Hill to raise money for victims of the Sichuan, China earthquake.

Presented by Zhumonkeymusic, the concert will feature the talents of Li Jun Li (South Pacific), Heather Parcells (A Chorus Line), Grammy nominee Ruben Flores, Jason Tam (A Chorus Line), Ali Ewoldt (Les Miserables), Zach James (Coram Boy, South Pacific), Aaron J. Albano (Spelling Bee, Mary Poppins), Laura Schutter (Mary Poppins), Andrew Emig (New Jersey's Imperial Brass Band), Jeremy Davis (South Pacific), Diane Phelan (West Side Story 50th anniversary tour), Joanne Javien (Thoroughly Modern Millie), Christopher DiChristo (Broadway Boys), Garrett Long (South Pacific) and Tina Na Huang (award-winning symphony violinist). Mat Eisentein will be the musical director for the evening, which begins at 6 PM with appetizers and wine followed by the 7 PM concert.

All proceeds will go to the American Red Cross, directly benefiting the victims of the earthquake. Richard Feng Zhu, organizer of the event and executive director of Zhumonkeymusic, said in a statement, "The essence of this event is not only to raise money for the tens and thousands of people who are in need now, but also to inspire those in attendance to continue to help in the future."

The upcoming event is made possible by a $15,000 contribution from Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS with additional support provided by Evergreen Restaurant and Zhumonkeymusic.
