News Fodor, McKenna, Gil-Sheridan Selected for Cherry Lane Mentor Project Plays by Colin McKenna, Kate Fodor and Peter Gil-Sheridan have been selected for the Cherry Lane Theatre's Mentor Project. In a ceremony on Dec. 4, selections from their plays will be read, along with selections from mentors' earlier plays or works in progress.

McKenna's The Secret Agenda of Trees, mentored by Lynn Nottage, is about a 13-year-old's troubled home life in the Appalachian backwoods. Fodor's 100 Saints You Should Know, mentored by Jules Feiffer, is about a single mother working as a maid who investigates the mysterious disappearance of a priest.

Gil-Sheridan's Topsy Turvy Mouse, mentored by Michael Weller, is about a kid whose parents served in Iraq.

The Mentor Project teams up-and-coming playwrights with experienced mentors as the playwrights hone their plays in preparation for a showcase production at the Cherry Lane.
