The Sharon Stage in Sharon, CT, celebrates its second summer season with two Arthur Miller one-acts, the U.S. Premiere of in ...love, Julie by Patrick Edgworth, and Dreamland, the world premiere of a new musical featuring the songs of composer Harold Arlen.

The Sharon Stage season closes in August with the world premiere of Harold Arlen's Dreamland, conceived and directed by Leonard Foglia, director of this year's Tony Award Winner for Best Play, Master Class. In the Dreamland Ballroom, fantasies come alive through Arlen's songs, such as "Come Rain or Come Shine," "Get Happy" and "Blues in the Night," (August 20- September 1).

The cast has not yet been announced for Passionate Voyages, a duo of one-acts by Arthur Miller consisting of Elegy for a Lady, an evocative exploration of the loss of love, and Some Kind of Love Story, a portrayal of an enduring relationship between a detective and a call girl (June 25 -July 7).

Helen Reddy and Millicent Martin star in Patrick Edgeworth's ...love, Julie about a perfect wife and a single mother, both looking for love and finding it in very different ways. Reddy was most recently on Broadway in Blood Brothers, Martin was on Broadway in Side By Side By Sondheim, (July 23-August 1).

The Tony Award-winning smash hit musical Rent will host a benefit performance for Sharon Stage June 14. In addition to the three main productions, the stage will also host a series of workshops of new musicals and feature cabaret singers and songwriters throughout the season. --By Blair Glaser
