Redgrave, a three-time Tony nominee (The Constant Wife, Shakespeare for My Father, Mrs. Warren's Profession) wrote Shakespeare for My Father after receiving an invitation in 1991 from the Folger to present an evening of Shakespeare and family anecdotes.

Chalfant starred in the Pulitzer Prize-winning play Wit, as well as M. Butterfly, Angels in America: Millennium Approaches, Angels in America: Perestroika and Racing Demon. Her TV roles include Margaret Tilden in "House of Cards" and her film work includes "Kinsey" and "The Laramie Project."

The staged reading of Shakespeare for My Father is presented in association with the Davis Performing Arts Center of Georgetown University.

Redgrave's script and material related to her career as actor and playwright was acquired by the Folger Shakespeare Library in the Redgrave archive last spring and will be featured as part of a new exhibition "Here is a Play Fitted," which is available for viewing through Jan. 12, 2014.

Tickets and more information are available by calling (202) 544-7077 or visiting folger.edu.
