News Following Brief La Cage Stint, Jeffrey Tambor Joins Amanda Peet in NBC Pilot "Bent" Six-time Emmy nominee Jeffrey Tambor, who recently withdrew from the Broadway revival of La Cage aux Folles, has joined the cast of the NBC comedy pilot "Bent," according to deadline.com.

Amanda Peet (The Break of Noon, Barefoot in the Park) will star as a recently divorced mother who tries to avoid falling for Pete (David Walton), the contractor she's hired to re-do her kitchen. Tambor will play Pete's father, a skirt-chasing former actor who lives with his son and plays piano in the Nordstrom lobby.

The pilot was written and will be executive-produced by Tad Quill.

Tambor has appeared on Broadway in Glengarry Glen Ross and Sly Fox. He is best known for his work on television, earning multiple Emmy nods for his work on "Arrested Development" and "The Larry Sanders Show."  The actor departed La Cage aux Folles Feb. 24 after 12 performances in the role of Georges.
