News Following Follies, Bernadette Peters Will Play Vermont, Texas, Florida, Ohio, New Jersey and More Two-time Tony Award winner Bernadette Peters, most recently seen in the acclaimed revival of A Little Night Music, will play a multitude of venues around the country following her upcoming role in the Kennedy Center production of Stephen Sondheim and James Goldman's Follies.

Playbill.com has learned that the celebrated singing actress is currently scheduled to offer concerts in Virginia, Vermont, Texas, Illinois, Florida, Indiana, Ohio and New Jersey following her eagerly awaited performance in Follies, which will run May 7-June 19 in the Kennedy Center's Eisenhower Theater.

Concertgoers can expect an eclectic array of tunes from Peters' award-winning theatre and recording career as well as a selection of her Follies songs.

Current tour dates, including two pre-Follies engagements, follow:

March 25: Paramount Theatre, Austin TX
Sept. 10: Carpenter Center for The Performing Arts, Richmond, VA
Oct. 1: Flynn Center for the Performing Arts, Burlington, VT
Oct. 13: Nasher Sculpture Center, Dallas, TX
Nov. 10: North Central College, Naperville, IL
Dec. 28: Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, West Palm Beach, FL
Feb. 4, 2012: Embassy Theatre, Fort Wayne, IN
Feb. 15, 2012: The Center for the Performing Arts, Carmel, IN
April 20-23, 2012: Cincinnati Music Hall, Cincinnati, OH
June 2, 2012: New Jersey PAC, Newark, NJ

Prior to Night Music, Bernadette Peters was last on Broadway in the acclaimed revival of Gypsy, for which she received a 2003 Tony Award nomination for her performance as Rose in the Sam Mendes-directed production. She won her two Tonys for her performances in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Song & Dance and Irving Berlin's Annie Get Your Gun, and she has also starred on Broadway in Mack & Mabel, On the Town, Sunday in the Park with George, The Goodbye Girl and the original production of Stephen Sondheim's Into the Woods. Peters' newest live recording, "Sondheim, Etc., Etc.—Bernadette Peters Live at Carnegie Hall (The Rest of It)," is available on the Angel Records label. Masterworks Broadway has also released a "Legends of Broadway" CD celebrating her theatrical career. Peters' screen credits are numerous, and she also recently celebrated the launch of her second children's book, "Stella Is a Star," for Blue Apple Books.
