News Folly Benefit, Featuring Hoffman, Halston and Wainwright, Presented Feb. 27 The two-night benefit presentation of FOLLY: The Grand Street Follies 2009, featuring Jackie Hoffman, Julie Halston and Rufus Wainwright, gets underway at the Abrons Arts Center Feb. 27.

Dozens of downtown celebrities are set to partake in the 8 PM evenings that are inspired by the extravagant follies shows of the 1920's. FOLLY serves as a benefit for God's Love We Deliver and TWEED TheaterWorks.

The Feb. 27 performance features Jackie Hoffman, The Lady Bunny, Julie Halston, Kristine Zbornik, Caroline Rhea, Robert La Fosse, Flotilla DeBarge, Brenda Bergman & The Bodacious TaTas, Sweetie, David Ilku, The Duelling Bankheads, Jodi Lennon, Carol Lipnik, The Flute Friends, Wallie Wolfgruber Dance, Joseph Keckler, Gina Vitro, Ken Bullock as Ragu Mountain Woman, as well as Tony Conniff & The Grand St Follies Band.

On Feb. 28 audiences will be treated to performances from Rufus Wainwright, Jackie Hoffman, Lypsinka, Julie Halston, Richard Move as Martha Graham, Kristine Zbornik, Caroline Rhea, Robert La Fosse, Flotilla DeBarge, Brenda Bergman & The Bodacious TaTas, Sweetie, David Ilku, The Duelling Bankheads, Jodi Lennon, Carol Lipnik, Todd Almond, The Flute Friends, Wallie Wolfgruber Dance, Joseph Keckler, Gina Vitro, Frank DeCaro, Ken Bullock as Ragu Mountain Woman, Hooba Havem, Stine Coen, The Butoh Rockettes, as well as Tony Conniff & The Grand St Follies Band.

Committee hosts include Blaine Trump, Deborah Harry, Alan Cumming, Joan Rivers, John Dugdale, Michael Cunningham, John Cameron Mitchell, Florent Morellet, Chi Chi Valenti, Johnny Dynell, Johnnie Moore, John Meyers, Michael Sennott, Linda Fairstein, Elisa Wagner, Asher & Michelle Edelman and Mark Sendroff Esq.
