LOS ANGELES -- Shakespeare's rarely-done Timon of Athens will open Oct. 22 at Sacred Fools Theatre (formerly the Heliotrope Theatre) for a one-month run. Director Scott Rabinowitz has transposed the action to 1998's Hollywood and Las Vegas. "The tragedy is still there," said a company spokesperson, "and the Sacred Fools Theatre Company has managed to retain all of the script's biting humor and hilarious satire without once tripping over an iambic foot."
Michael Louden stars as Timon, supported by Jill Bennett, Lisette Bross, Joel Christian, Robert M.D'Entremont, Desi Doyen, Laura Ford, Jon Hamm, J. Haran, Piper Henry, Scott McShane, Bruno Oliver, Marc-Ian Sklar, Danielle Surrette, Abby Wold and Jennifer Wu.
