After Steve Jones announced that Francis and Astro received the fewest votes following the Nov. 16 rock-themed performance show, judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, L.A. Reid and Nicole Scherzinger listened to the two finalists perform their “song for survival” and then eliminated Francis of Brooklyn, NY.

The Top 9 Finalists, including Girls – Melanie Amaro, Rachel Crow and Drew; Boys – Astro, Marcus Canty and Chris Rene; Over 30s – LeRoy Bell and Josh Krajcik; and last remaining group Lakoda Rayne, will continue to battle it out for America’s votes when they perform live Nov. 22 at 8 PM ET on Fox.

The Nov. 23 results show will also air at 8 PM ET.

At 15, Stacy Francis, who is now 42, made her Off-Broadway debut in Mama, I Want to Sing and later re-created her role opposite Chaka Kahn in the London production. Broadway audiences have seen Francis' work in Smokey Joe's Cafe, Street Corner Symphony and the aforementioned Footloose. She was also seen in the L.A. Reprise! concert version of Hair.
