Like his cast mates, Footloose musical director Doug Katsaros normally takes a break from his energetic Broadway performances on Monday nights. For the next few Mondays, however, Katsaros will be performing his original compositions on Monday nights at the Westbeth Center in the West Village.

"I'm going to be at Westbeth with an evening of theatre songs that nobody outside of Benicia, California or Duluth has ever heard," Katsaros writes to Playbill On-Line. Westbeth said Katsaros will be performing March 20 and 27 and on April 10 and 17.

Katsaros called his show "KatSaroSongS" and said he will have a seven piece band featuring singers like Meat Loaf's Kati Mac. Katsaros, who has performed with a variety of top names in music and theatre, is a published composer with several other unpublished works ready for production.

The Westbeth show, he indicated, will comprise songs from "Moby Dick", "Dennis The Menace," "A...My Name Is Alice," and other projects that he has written the music for.

Katsaros is also known in the commercial jingle business for writing the music to the popular ad phrase, "By....Mennen." Tickets are $20. The Westbeth is located at 151 Bank Street. For reservations and information call (212) 741-0391.
