The MTA and the Times Square Business Improvement District (TS-BID) have announced that MTA repairs of subway switches in Brooklyn may affect train service in the city between Jan. 8 -10.

Altogether, the MTA says, disruptions can be expected on the following lines:

1. The northbound F trains will operate between Delancey Street and Queens at reduced frequencies.
2. Service on the C train will be suspended all weekend.
3. All A trains will make local stops between Jay Street, Brooklyn, and 207th Street in Manhattan.
4. Service on the R line will be suspended in Manhattan and Queens.

Theatre patrons who plan to rely on train service next weekend may wish to allow for additional travel time in order to avoid delays.

Additional information is available from MTA Community Relations at (718) 694-5135 or by calling NYC Transit's Travel Information Line at (718) 330-1234. -- By Murdoch McBride
