The NYPD has issued several routine traffic alerts for the Halloween weekend. While open lanes will be maintained in most cases, theatre patrons may experience some delays and should plan to avoid these areas.

On Sun., Oct. 31, from 11AM - 6 PM, 52nd Street will be closed between Lexington Avenue and Seventh Avenue for the Encore Street Fair.

On Sat., Oct. 30, and Sun. ,Oct. 31, from 8 AM - 6 PM, the following closures will be in effect: Broadway will be closed between West 43rd Street and West 44th Street during crane operations; West 44th Street between Broadway and Sixth Avenue will be closed during crane operations; West 46th Street between Broadway and Sixth Avenue will be closed during crane operations.

And on between 7 AM and Noon on Oct. 30-31, West 47th Street between Eighth Avenue and Broadway be closed during crane operation.

In these instances, the Times Square Business Improvement District says local and emergency traffic will be maintained at all times. -- By Murdoch McBride
