Forbidden Broadway Cleans Up Its Act!, the 1998 spoof of the Broadway theatre community, has been preserved on disc by the DRG label for release in March 1999. Original cast members Bryan Batt, Edward Staudenmayer, Lori Hammel and Kristine Zbornik will be heard on the disc, puncturing everything from Ragtime to Footloose. The show was recorded Dec. 17-18, 1998.

Written and co-directed by Gerard Alessandrini, the revue is performed in the downstairs room at Ellen1s Stardust Diner in Manhattan, a space dubbed the Stardust Theatre.

The current edition of the show (part of a series begun in 1982) draws its title from the de-sexed Times Square area, where the city has banned porn shops.
