The newest edition of the long-running revue features selections from the show's 25-year history as well as new parodies of Mary Poppins, Spring Awakening and LoveMusik. The Roast of Utopia will play through Aug. 22; a brand-new edition of Forbidden Broadway will launch in the fall. The cast features Jared Bradshaw, Erin Crosby, Janet Dickinson and James Donegan with David Caldwell on piano.
Created, written and co-directed by Gerard Alessandrini, the creative team also includes Phillip George (co-director), Alvin Colt (costume designer), Megan K. Halpern (set designer) and Marc Janowitz (lighting designer).
The playing schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday at 8:15 PM, Sunday at 7:30 PM with matinees Wednesday at 2:30 PM, Saturday at 4 PM and Sunday at 3 PM.
