News Forever Dusty, Musical About Late Dusty Springfield, Will Offer Sing-Along Performance Forever Dusty, the new musical by Kirsten Holly Smith and Jonathan Vankin about the life of late singer Dusty Springfield, will offer a special sing-along performance Feb. 13 at 7 PM at Off-Broadway's New World Stages.

Audience members at this special performance will be invited to sing along to such Springfield hits as “Son of a Preacher Man,” “You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me,” “I Only Want to Be With You,” "Wishin’ and Hopin,” “Tell Him” and more. The evening will be co-hosted by comedian Seth Herzog and Drag Diva Sherry Vine. Fans are encouraged to dress in their best Dusty Springfield blonde beehive wigs and 1960s garb.

It was also announced that a new block of tickets for Forever Dusty is currently on sale through April 7.

Directed by Randal Myler (Love, Janis; It Ain't Nothin' But the Blues), Forever Dusty is produced by Jorja Fox, Leslie Brockett, Jane Gullong and Sandalphon Productions, with executive producer Eva Price of Maximum Entertainment Productions.

Co-writer Smith also stars in the production. She is joined by Christina Sajous, Coleen Sexton, Benim Foster, Sean Patrick Hopkins, Ashley Betton and Jonathan C. Kaplan.

The creative team also includes set designer Wilson Chin, lighting designer Richard DiBella, sound designer Matt Kraus, musical director Michael Thomas Murray and costume designer Nancy Palmatier. Forever Dusty, according to the producers, tells the "compelling and moving story of Dusty's journey, in a dramatic, high-energy musical filled with some of the most exciting pop songs ever written," including "Son of a Preacher Man," "You Don't Have to Say You Love Me," "The Look of Love" and many others.

Born Mary Isobel Catherine Bernadette O'Brien, Dusty Springfield became what the producers call the first great female pop star of the 1960s.

Show times are Monday at 7 PM, Wednesday at 2:30 PM and 7 PM, Thursday and Friday at 8 PM, Saturday at 2:30 PM and 8 PM and Sunday at 3 PM.

New World Stages is located at 340 West 50th Street. Tickets range in price from $69-$79, with premium tickets available at $110. There is also be a general rush policy in place, which will take place every day when the box office opens. Rush tickets are $26.50, cash only, and each person may purchase up to two tickets.
