News Former Annie Star Will Make it to Hollywood Week on "American Idol" Joanna Pacitti — who was chosen to star in the 20th anniversary revival of Annie, only to be dismissed from the show before the production reached Broadway after a few months on the road — auditioned for the current season of "American Idol" in Louisville, KY.

Pacitti's audition was broadcast on the Jan. 21 episode of the hit FOX series, and the young singing actress has advanced to Hollywood Week. Pacitti sang Pat Benatar's "We Belong" for her audition, and received praise from all four "American Idol" judges. The singer was previously signed to A&M records, and her debut recording was titled "This Crazy Life."

Pacitti will advance to Hollywood Week with Adam Lambert, who was part of the cast of the Los Angeles production of Wicked. Lambert's audition, a rendition of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody," was aired on the Jan. 20 broadcast of "Idol."

Among the many "American Idol" finalists and/or winners who have appeared on Broadway are Fantasia, Diana DeGarmo, Constantine Maroulis, Frenchie Davis, Clay Aiken and Taylor Hicks.
