Burnell Taylor was eliminated after he received the fewest votes among the finalists. From New Orleans, LA, the 19-year-old Taylor sang "You Give Love A Bad Name" by Bon Jovi on the April 3 “Classic Rock, No Ballads”-themed performance show. The four judges were unable to come to a unanimous decision to use the once-a-season save for the young singer.

On April 10 at 8 PM ET, the remaining finalists will perform two songs each, including a song each contestant wishes he or she had written.

The April 11 results show, which also begins at 8 PM ET, will feature performances by "Idol" winners Kelly Clarkson and Scotty McCreery.

Those currently competing for the "American Idol" crown include Lazaro Arbos, Janelle Arthur, Candice Glover, Kree Harrison, Amber Holcomb and Angie Miller.

Former "American Idol" contestants who have taken to Broadway after their stint on "Idol" include Fantasia Barrino (The Color Purple), Clay Aiken (Spamalot), Constantine Maroulis (Rock of Ages), Diana DeGarmo (Hairspray), Frenchie Davis (Rent) and Jordin Sparks (In the Heights) as well as former "Idol" judge Kara DioGuardi (Chicago), among others.
