News FOX Animated Comedy, "Family Guy," Will Hit Chicago Theatre Stage Seth MacFarlane's animated comedy will hit the stage: Family Guy Live! will play two shows at The Chicago Theatre Sept. 15.

Montreal's Just For Laughs Festival presents the event at 7 and 10 PM. Tickets go on sale Aug. 17.

Family Guy Live! will feature "an uncensored live reading of a classic episode" with "bonus material never before seen on FOX," according to an announcement. The events will also include "the cast performing some of the most memorable musical numbers from the series as well as a Q&A with the cast and creators of the series."

Audiences will also get an exclusive sneak peek at the one-hour "Star Wars"-themed season premiere episode.

The animated "Family Guy" follows the twisted and irreverent lives of the middle-class New England Griffin family. Creator/executive producer Seth MacFarlane voices the portly patriarch Peter, the ever-conniving one-year-old baby Stewie and the brainy yet boozy dog Brian. Alex Borstein plays the wife and mother Lois of the teenaged children Meg ("That 70's Show" teen and "Tony 'N Tina's Wedding" bride Mila Kunis) and Chris ("Austin Powers" angsty Scott Evil Seth Green). Mike Henry (who voices several characters) will also perform.

The Emmy Award-nominated animated series returns for another season Sept. 23 on FOX. The show debuted on the broadcast network in 1999 and was canceled by the network in its third season. When the show's diehard fans brought in record DVD sales and continued high Nielsen ratings for its Cartoon Network airings, the show was picked back up. MacFarlane won an Emmy for Outstanding Voice-Over Performance for his portrayal of Stewie in 2000 and for Outstanding Music and Lyrics in 2002 with composer Walter Murphy. The show itself was nominated for Outstanding Animated Program in 2000.

Family Guy Live! plays at The Chicago Theatre, 175 North State Street in Chicago, IL. Tickets will be available Aug. 17 at the Chicago Theatre box office, or Ticketmaster at (312) 902-1500 and ticketmaster.com.
