News Fox Stage Productions Tap NYMF Exec to Develop "Mrs. Doubtfire" and "Devil Wears Prada" Musicals Isaac Robert Hurwitz, who co-founded the New York Musical Theatre Festival in 2004 and served as its executive director and producer for 10 years, has been named senior vice president of Fox Stage Productions.

Hurwitz will report to Bob Cohen, who oversees the division of 20th Century Fox, and will be responsible for the development and production of plays and musicals based on the 20th Century Fox film catalogue. He has served as a consultant to the division since it was established in June 2013.

“Isaac is a uniquely talented and respected member of the Broadway community,” Cohen said in a statement. “We couldn’t be more grateful for his expertise in establishing and growing our Broadway business.”

Fox Stage is currently developing stage productions of several of its films, including "Mrs. Doubtfire," "The Devil Wears Prada" and "Diary of a Wimpy Kid."

Under Hurwitz's leadership, NYMF premiered more than 350 new musicals, more than 90 of which went on to Broadway, Off-Broadway, regional and international productions. In 2013 he received a special Drama Desk Award in recognition of his service. He was also music associate of the Encores! series for three seasons.
