In a recent interview with Variety, she said that she is developing two projects. "One is a feature that I will direct, and that's been on my bucket list," she said. "One is a Broadway musical that I would be a writer and producer on. Neither of which I'm ready to pitch."

Drescher, who made her Broadway debut in 2014 as Madame in Cinderella, was also asked what other musicals she'd like to tackle. She said, "If I could do any musical, being who I am, where I'm at and my age and everything, it would probably be Gypsy. I could probably do [Hello], Dolly."

But she added that musical theatre is not her "strong suit." She said, "I have a lot of strong suits. That ain't one of them."

Drescher played the musical's run through April 26 at the Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre.
