The lineup of performers includes Stephen Carlile, the British actor who is making his Broadway debut playing Scar in The Lion King; Sophia Anne Caruso, the 16-year-old stage and screen actor seen in the New York and London productions of Lazarus; GLAAD Media Award-winning comic Judy Gold, seen Off-Broadway in The Judy Show – My Life as a Sitcom and 25 Questions for a Jewish Mother; Grammy-winning singer, actor, and composer Melissa Manchester, who just released her 21st album, The Fellas; West End star Frances Ruffelle, who won the Olivier and Tony for creating the role of Eponine in Les Misérables; and Sally Ann Triplett, the accomplished British actor, who appeared in Carrie, The Last Ship, and Finding Neverland on Broadway. Show time is 7 PM.
Barry Kleinbort directs the evening with musical direction by Ron Abel. Tom Hubbard is featured on bass.
Proceeds from the concert, produced by deRoy, benefit The Actors Fund: Jamie deRoy & friends Cabaret Initiative, an endeavor that assists those in the cabaret industry who have medical needs and concerns.
In addition to three Tony Awards, deRoy has won eight MAC Awards, four Backstage Bistro Awards, and 11 Telly Awards. She also received CaB Magazine’s Lifetime Achievement Award and was honored by Theatre Works/USA and Primary Stages.
