News Frank Abagnale, Jr. Will Host Catch Me If You Can Talkback May 12 Frank Abagnale, Jr., whose life inspired the Broadway musical Catch Me If You Can, will host a post-show talkback at the Neil Simon Theatre May 12.

Tony Award-winning Hairspray songwriters Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman and playwright Terrence McNally authored the musical based on the DreamWorks film of the same name and the autobiography by Abagnale Jr. and Stan Redding.

Before he was 21 years old, Abagnale Jr. finagled his way to become an airline pilot, lawyer and doctor. The musical traces his journey across the world in search of fortune, adventure and family, all while eluding the FBI.

Abagnale Jr. will host the talkback and Q&A session following the 8 PM performance. Only ticket holders for the May 12 performance will be able to attend.

Catch Me If You Can opened on Broadway April 10 and earned a Tony Award nomination for Best Musical. Tony-winning director Jack O'Brien and choreographer Jerry Mitchell stage the production.

Aaron Tveit (Next to Normal, Wicked) stars as Abagnale, Jr. with Tony Award winner Norbert Leo Butz (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Is He Dead?) as FBI Fraud Agent Carl Hanratty. The principal cast also features Tom Wopat (Sondheim on Sondheim, Annie Get Your Gun) as Frank Sr., Kerry Butler (Xanadu, Hairspray) as Brenda, Rachel De Benedet (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) as Paula Abagnale, Linda Hart (Hairspray) as Carol Strong and Nick Wyman (Tale of Two Cities) as Roger Strong.
