News Frank Wood, Johanna Day and Brian Murray Will Be Featured at O'Neill Playwrights Conference Tony award winner Frank Wood, as well as Tony nominees Johanna Day and Brian Murray will perform at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center’s National Playwrights Conference.

The conference is in its 49th year and, under the leadership of artistic director Wendy C. Goldberg, will run from July 3-27.

"I am thrilled at the return of many alumni actors, and also welcome spectacular new talent to the National Playwrights Conference," said Goldberg in a statement, "All of these actors will help us immensely as we work through the development of these selected plays. We are grateful to have such a talented and professional cast as such an important part of the O’Neill process."

Eight new plays will be developed at this year’s conference. This year's listings are as follows:

The Solid Sand Below by Martín Zimmerman will feature Scott Drummond, Ryan King, Brian Quijada, Terrell Donnell Sledge and Felix Solis (July 3-4).

Lauren Yee's Samsara will include Mike Doyle, Daiva Deupree, Bhavesh Patel, Lipica Shah and Phillip Taratula (July 5–6). A Great Wilderness by Samuel D. Hunter includes Joanna Day, Brian Murray, Jon DeVries, Christine Estabrook, Aaron Simon Gross and Tasha Lawrence (July 10-11).

Damien Bailey, Tina Benko, Jeremy Bobb, Duane Boutté, Ashley Bryant, Mateo Gomez, Jordan Mahome and Angela Robinson have been cast in Jeff Augustin's Little Children Dream of God (July 12-13).

The Oregon Trail, by Bekah Brunstetter, will include Ronete Levenson, Emily Louise Perkins, Laura Ramadei, James Lloyd Reynolds, Alec Shaw and Shayna Small (July 17–18).

All the Roads Home, by Jen Silverman, will feature Hannah Cabell, Christy Pusz, Makela Spielman and Joe Tippett (July 19-20).

Michael Yates Crowley's Evanston: A Rare Comedy will feature Anna Margaret Hollyman, Eva Kaminsky, Ronete Levenson, Crystal Lucas-Perry, Kate McCluggage, James Lloyd Reynolds and Will Rogers.

Eisa Davis and Frank Wood have been cast in David Auburn's Lost Lake (July 26–27).

The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center was founded in 1964 and is based in Waterford, CT. Programs at the Center include the Puppetry Conference, Playwrights Conference, Critics Institute, Music Theater Conference and the National Theater Institute. The Monte Cristo Cottage, O'Neill's childhood home, is also owned and operated by the group.
